Reports can be such a bore. Endless reams of facts and statistics - and does anyone actually read them?
As copywriter, editor and project manager of Plan UK's annual reports for their child sponsorship programme, I accepted the challenge to turn statistics and jargon into something inspiring.
These playful reports filled with child-like drawings and heart-warming stories brought life and energy right into every sponsor's living room.
And everyone loved them! Supporters tweeted photos of their reports, asking their followers to sponsor a child too. Some said they hadn't read a single report before now. Many gave extra funds or increased their regular donation – even though they hadn’t been asked to.
